WESTON, MA - The Elms College Women's Soccer team falls short 1-0 against the Regis Pride this afternoon.

How it happened
Blazers new comer Ciersten Palumbo started the women off early in the game with a shot that bounced right of the goal within the first 2 minutes of the play. Elms outshot the Pride 7-5 in the first half, having 3 on goal. Despite their offensive drive the Blazers were unable to crack one into the back of the net. Regis got on the board in the 23rd minute by Maria Toumbouras scoring their one and onyl goal of the game, assisted by teammate Hailey Lovell. The Pride would lead 1-0 heading into the half.
lms lead again in scoring in the second half, 6-5 with a shot by Elaina Vilar at the 52 mark to try and match the Pride's goal. Gianna Liquori held her own in the goal for the second half having two saves in the second, stopping both of the only shots on goal for the Pride that half. The Blazers kept battling for the rest of the contest but were unable to slip in a goal. Elms would fall 1-0 in the GNAC match up Saturday afternoon.
