GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 14) - The Bethany College women's soccer team was defeated 9-1 at Grove City Saturday afternoon in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Grove City scored the first goal of the match in the seventh-minute and went of to take a 6-0 lead into halftime.
- The Bison got on the scoreboard early in the second half when junior Lindsey Cornish (McKeesport, Pa./South Allegheny) took a deep shot that took a fortuitous bounce over the Wolverine goalkeepers head and into the net to make the score 6-1.
- Grove City added three more goals in the second half to close the game out with a 9-1 win.
MATCH NOTES
- Grove City held a 20-to-2 advantage in shots on goal for the game.
- Cornish now has points in consecutive games. She assisted on the game-winning goal against Waynesburg.
