CLAREMONT, CA. -- The 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Soccer Postseason Tournament is slated to begin Thursday, November 4 with semifinal action. The SCIAC Tournament championship contest will then take place on Saturday, November 6.

No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer vs No. 2 Cal Lutheran
Setting the Scene
For the third consecutive season, the Pomona-Pitzer women's soccer team earned the top seed in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament and will make its 11th appearance in the conference playoffs since 2006. The Sagehens notched a 13-1-2 overall record, keyed by a 9-1-2 mark in league action. Pomona-Pitzer enters SCIAC postseason play having won five straight games and is in search of its third overall tournament title having previously won in 2015 and 2019. The Sagehens have also finished as tournament runners-up three times (2012, 2017, 2018).
California Lutheran begins tournament play as the second seed and stands at 11-4-4 overall, 8-1-3 in league action. Making their 15th appearance in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament, the Regals, winners in three of their last four, have won the tournament twice (2007, 2011) since 2006, and finished as the runners-up three times (2013, 2014, 2015).
Chapman takes to the field as the third seed in the conference tournament having won five of its final seven games of the 2021 regular season. The Panthers, 9-4-2 overall, 7-4-1 in SCIAC play, are making their fifth SCIAC Postseason Tournament appearance. Chapman won the 2012 SCIAC Tournament crown and finished as the runner-up in 2016.
Occidental returns to the SCIAC postseason as the fourth seed after posting a 9-4-4 ledger highlighted by a 6-3-3 mark in conference play. The Tigers, who are making their sixth appearance in the conference playoffs, have finished as runners-up three times (2007, 2009, 2010) in addition to their championship win in 2018.
