Men's Soccer Tests Penn St Abington On The Road
Wells College men's soccer team traveled to Penn St Abington on Saturday for a conference match-up. The Express would narrowly lose this one, 3-2.
It only took four minutes for Abington to grab a lead in this one when they scored in the 4th minute of play. In the 2oth minute they found the back of the net again and held a 2-0 lead over the Express heading into halftime. In the second half, two minutes in, Marco Derlly scored an unassisted goal to cut the lead two 1 goal with plenty of time left to play. Then, with only 5 minutes of play remaining John Castaneda scored off of a corner kick and the Express tied it up at 2. In the final three minutes, Abington would have a penalty kick opportunity and it would get by Express keeper Sean Nemeth to give Abington a 3-2 lead which they would finish with.
Men's soccer will be back in action wednesday when they host SUNY Morrisville.
