NEWTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's soccer team opened their conference slate when they took on traveled to Taylor Field to play Lasell. In a game that was a bit chippy at times, but only saw each team draw a single yellow card, the defenses proved true with both teams only allowing one goal.

HIGHLIGHTS
- After the teams played a scoreless first half, sophomore midfielder Rubelsi Moran (Holden, MA) was the first person to put a tally on the board. He scored his goal unassisted in the 69th minute.
- Sophomore goalie David Flores did his thing, stopping six of the seven shots he faced. This included a save with just over two minutes left in regulation to protect the tie.
- The Lasers' evened the score a bit over a minute later when Daniel Faynstein (Needham, MA) scored with an assist credited to Elisio Nascimento (Pawtucket, RI).
