OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex.

- Records: Olivet 3-5-3 overall, 0-0-2 MIAA; Albion 4-5-2 overall, 0-1-1 MIAA
- The scoresheet was even as the final score showed. Both teams tallied 11 total shots, with four shots-on-goal. Albion did have a 7-0 edge in corner kicks. The teams combined for 24 fouls – 11 for the Britons and 13 for the Comets. The referee issued nine cards in the game, with each team also having a player sent off after receiving a red card.
- Olivet's best scoring opportunity came in the second half when freshman Kyle Buchan's left-footed volley sailed wide left of the goal.
- Buchan and senior Noah Runnals each recorded two shots.
- Junior Carlos Santos protected the net for all 90 minutes. By doing so, he helped the Comets post their first shutout against a MIAA opponent since October 13, 2019 in a 1-0 win against Adrian College.
- Albion had a couple great scoring chances in the second half. One shot attempt went over the goal and another traveled just wide right of the goal.
- Jonathan Euceda tallied a team-leading three shots.
- Anton Favre was in goal for the entire game.
- Olivet hosts Trine (Ind.) University next Tuesday, October 11. The start time for the contest is 2 p.m.
