TOWSON, Md. -Visiting Drew used two goals late in regulation to get past the Goucher men's soccer team on Saturday at Beldon Field, 2-0, in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams.

TOWSON, Md. -Visiting Drew used two goals late in regulation to get past the Goucher men's soccer team on Saturday at Beldon Field, 2-0, in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams.
With the defeat, Goucher fell to 0-7-1 and 0-1 in the Landmark, while Drew improved to 7-2 and 1-0 in the Landmark with the win
In the defeat for Goucher, senior goalkeeper Daniel Hendry (Lewisburg, Pa.) racked up 12 saves throughout the contest. First-year Jack Tchantchuing-Ngoko (Silver Spring, Md.) led the team in shots with a pair, both of which were on goal.
The Rangers goals were scored by senior Max Correa and junior Ian Sawicki. Correa scored off on a penalty kick in the 89th minute of the match while Sawicki's was the eventual game-winner, tallied in the 68 minute.
The Gophers will play again at home on Tuesday, September 25 at 7 PM against Gwynedd Mercy at Beldon Field.
