NEW LONDON, Conn.-- Freshman Lyndon Way scored the lone goal of the game to give Babson a 1-0 road victory over Coast Guard in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday afternoon. The Bears drop to 8-3-1 on the season and 2-2 in the NEWMAC, while the Beavers improve to 7-3-2 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play.

In the 40th minute, senior Robert Dunne sent a corner over to Way at the far post who buried a header for the eventual game-winner for the Beavers.

The Bears outshot the Beavers 12-9, including a 7-4 edge in the second half. Babson had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Coast Guard sophomore goalkeeper Josh Hudson (3-2) made five saves in the loss, while Babson senior goalkeeper Itai Rubin (6-3-2) made three saves for the Beavers.

The Bears are back in action next Saturday, October 16 on the road at Springfield at 12 PM.
