ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team saw Lynchburg score twice in the first seven minutes of a 2-0 ODAC win on Sunday afternoon.
The Basics:
Score: Lynchburg 2, Randolph-Macon 0

Records: R-MC 5-6, 2-2 ODAC; LYN 10-1, 5-0 ODAC
How it Happened:
- The Hornets converted a penalty kick in the fifth minute and added a goal two minutes later as the visitors took an early 2-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets would get shots on goal by freshman Lora Bertram (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) in the 11th minute, sophomore Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) in the 14th minute and by senior Maddie Bauman (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) in the 23rd minute. Freshman Riley Russ (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) would add a shot on goal in the 32nd minute and sophomore Lauren Donovan (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) had a shot in the 37th minute. Sophomore Abby Cook (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) had a pair of saves in the first half.
- LYN had the first three shots of the second half before shots by junior Leah Conrad (Bristow, Va./Saint John Paul the Great) and Donovan in the 62nd minute. Russ had the final shot of the match for R-MC in the 88th minute. Sophomore Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) had three saves in a scoreless second half.
By The Numbers:
- LYN had a 19-8 advantage in shots. Russ and Donovan both had two shots for the Yellow Jackets.
- The Hornets had four corner kicks, including three in the second half. R-MC had its lone corner in the second half.
