Tabb, Gundlach score as Men's Soccer plays to 2-2 draw at Kalamazoo (Mich.)

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw at Kalamazoo (Mich.) on Wednesday night at MacKenzie Field.

The Polar Bears move to 5-3-2 overall, while the Hornets move to 5-2-2.

Northern got on the board first when freshman Trevor Tabb (Toledo/Springfield) scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season 21 minutes into the contest.

KC tied the match at 1-1 in the 28th minute and went ahead 2-1 in the 63rd minute.

But senior Seth Gundlach (Wilmington) got the equalizer with 4:21 left in the match to tie it at 2-2 and send it into overtime.

Northern had six shots and a corner kick, while KC had two shots and a corner in the 20 minutes of overtime, but neither team found the net for the match-winner.

Senior John Lombardo (Solon) had five saves in goal for ONU, who out-shot Kalamazoo 25-20 in the contest.

The Polar Bears will begin the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their schedule on Saturday with a 7 pm home match against Marietta at Kerscher Stadium.
