TERRE HAUTE, Ind.. — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team went on the road and posted a 4-0 victory at Rose-Hulman (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears improve to 5-3-1 on the season, while the Engineers fall to 3-4-1.
Rose-Hulman potted an own goal in the 23rd minute to give ONU an early 1-0 lead.
Freshman Trevor Tabb (Toledo/Springfield) scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season off an assist from freshman Nolan Schirmer (Amelia/West Clermont) in the 42nd minute as ONU led 2-0 at intermission.
Senior Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) scored 6:07 into the second half to make it 3-0 and sophomore Ryan Augustine (Gibsonia, Pa./North Catholic) scored with 5:15 left to play to wrap up the scoring.
Senior John Lombardo (Solon) had two saves to pick up his third shutout of the season.
Ohio Northern out-shot Rose-Hulman 20-6.
The polar Bears will wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule on Wednesday at Kalamazoo (Mich.)
