NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Spartans played through the rainy weather to defeat the Scots by a score of 1-0. 

The Scots and Spartans battled each other in the on and off rain during an evenly matched game. Both teams played a game on Saturday, Manchester tying Wittenberg and Alma defeating Anderson. 

Manchester broke through in the first half. Junior Julian Keough (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) lofted a ball to the back post where sophomore Ian Bowron (Fishers, Ind./ Fishers) was left unmarked and was able to nod it home. It was Bowron's first goal of the 2022 campaign. 

The Black & Gold will be back in action September 14th at 8 p.m. against St. Francis (Ind.). Live stream and live stats for that game will be available on MUSpartans.com.
