Thrills and chills continue: One Wheaton falls; other Wheaton draws

Women's soccer proved to be the sport of the day as Wednesday featured a few upsets and draws that will impact post season action.
No. 1 Messiah needed two overtimes in order to defeat conference rival Arcadia University after regulation ended in a scoreless draw. Senior Alex Brandt won the match for the Falcons in the 106th minute.
Tenth-ranked Wheaton (IL) had its eight match undefeated streak snapped with a 1-0 loss to Augustana College. Viking senior Taylor Moesle broke a scoreless tie when she scored in the 34th minute.
No. 18 Wheaton (MA) had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Keene State College, their fourth of the season. Sophomore Lauren Corigliano put the Lyons up in the first half, but Owls senior Brittany Croteau scored the equalizer in the second half.
In a NESCAC battle, No. 15 Middleburry was a 3-1 winner over rival Williams, ranked at 17 in the latest Top 25 poll.
Elsewhere, in the NJAC Richard Stockton blanked Rutgers-Newark 5-0, while in the Midwest Conference, St. Norbert and Ripon played to a 1-1 draw.
