Midwest News & Roundup - Week 9

Welcome to the Midwest News & Review. I will highlight women's NCAA D3 soccer games in the Midwest area. National importance will be followed by regional importance and towards the end of the season conference considerations will crop up. Time is limited so I exercise judgement on notable games to report each week. My editors make me look good; thank you.
Week 9 Notes

NORTH REGION
Regional rankings don’t seem to line up with conference standings in the North Region. Some teams can take motivation from that disrespect.
No.1 (RV nationally) St. Thomas (12-2-2 / 7-1-1)
The Tommies outshot No..7 Saint Benedict 11-5 and won 1-0 in a clash of regionally ranked opponents. They also beat Macalester 1-0. Two games to go in the regular season and tied with No..3 ranked Augsburg atop the MIAC with a game against St. Catherine on Wednesday with a half game lead.
No. 2 (RV nationally) Wartburg (11-2-3 / 5-1-1)
The Knights won their only game of the week and have one regular season contest remaining. They are a half game behind Loras for top seed in the ARC.
