The No. 2 ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team hosts No. 3 Wheaton College Saturday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m. Both teams enter Saturday's contest with a 6-0 record.

Wheaton
Wheaton College leads the all-time series with Washington
University, 12-4, and the Thunder have won the last five meetings.
Wheaton has issued Washington University its last three losses
dating back to 2011.
A Look at the
Thunder
Wheaton remained undefeated with a 4-2 victory at Alma College
Tuesday in Alma, Mich. The Thunder have outscored their opponents
18-5, led by junior Bailey Wysocki (six goals, one assist) and
sophomore Ally Witt (five goals, three assists). Junior goalkeeper
Kelsey Graham has allowed five goals in 478 minutes played.
Battle of the
Unbeatens
Washington U. and Wheaton are two of the 21 undefeated teams
remaining in NCAA Division III. Of the 21 teams that remain
perfect, only 10 are ranked in this week's D3soccer Top 25
poll.

Washington University has established Francis Field as one of the tougher home fields in NCAA Division III. The Bears have a 3-0 home record in 2013, and a 50-8-3 (.844) record in the past six seasons under head coach Jim Conlon.
Fast Start
Washington U. has continued its fast start offensively, scoring 32
goals in the first six games. In the latest NCAA Division III
rankings, the Bears rank third in scoring offense (5.8 goals per
game) and have scored five or more goals in five of their first six
games. The Bears also lead NCAA Division III in assists (5.0 p/g)
and points (16.0 p/g).
Defense Stands
Tall
Washington University’s defense has posted six-straight
shutouts to start the season for the first time in school history.
The Bears’ starting back line of senior Rachel Ing,
senior Tessa Delaney, sophomore Sam Ezratty,
junior Tessa Klumpp and sophomore goalkeeper Amy
French has allowed just 16 shots on goal this season. In the
latest NCAA Division III rankings, Washington U. ranks first in
goals against average (0.00), save percentage (1.000) and shutout
percentage (1.000).
Head Coach Jim
Conlon
Jim Conlon is in his sixth season as the head coach of the
Washington University women’s soccer team. Conlon has guided
Washington U. to an 86-23-8 (.769) overall record on the Danforth
Campus, including four seasons with 15 or more wins. He has also
guided the Bears to three University Athletic Association (UAA)
championships and five trips to the NCAA Tournament.
