In Wednesday's action, most matches in the Top 25 went as expected, yet a few overtime matches and a surprise in Whitewater marked the day.
The No. 13 Loras DuHawk women travelled to No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater and fell 5-1 in a battle for the 'Hawk Cup. No. 15 Linfield broke a 2-2 tie with Pacific in the 89th minute on a goal by junior Ellie Schmidt, improving to 12-1-0, and 8-1 in the NWC.
No. 20 Aurora needed overtime to edge MSOE 2-1, No. 22 Washington and Lee blanked Guilford 5-0, and No. 25 Illinois Wesleyan were 2-0 winners over DePauw.
UMass Boston improved to 10-4 with a 5-1 win over Western New England. Junior Krista Ledin scored a hat-trick for the second straight match. Scranton won their 12th straight in a 1-0 defeat of Penn State-Berks, improving to 12-2-0 and 2-0 in the Landmark.
In men's action, Hope defeated rival Calvin 3-1, avenging an earlier loss to the Knights. With the win, the Dutchmen earn a share of the MIAA lead with Calvin.

No. 3 Messiah cruised past Alvernia 8-0, and No. 4 Rutgers-Camden overcame a strong defensive effort from Haverford, winning 1-0, and increasing their unbeaten streak to 27 matches.
No. 7 Loras edged Whitewater 1-0, and No. 16 Salisbury shutout Marymount 2-0, making it seven matches without a goal allowed.
No. 19 Wheaton (Ill.) blanked Wisconsin-Platteville 3-0 in their fourth straight shutout. Senior Josh Clark scored the game winner off a rebound of junior Adam Blackman's shot early in the match.
