Aurora kicked off Wheaton's annual Bob Baptista Invitational with a 4-3 overtime win over Loras, while host Wheaton cruised past St. Olaf 3-0. On Saturday, the DuHawks bounced back from their set-back on Friday with a 2-1 defeat of the Thunder. Earlier, Aurora moved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-0 win over St. Olaf.

In Friday's opener, Aurora and Loras went to the first overtime and with only 18 seconds left, Spartan junior Jeremey Perales took a pass from freshman Justin Rutherford and form 25 yards out, sent a long floating shot to the Loras goal. The shot was true, giving Aurora the 4-3 win.

Wheaton's 3-0 win over St. Olaf featured a freshman starter in goal for the Thunder, the first in a home opener since 2008. But Hasten Biddlecomb's first match left him untested as Wheaton outshot the Olies 17-0. After Wheaton senior Max Carey almost made it 1-0 in the first minute, it took 45 minutes before sophomore Will Woodfin grabbed the game winner.

Loras ended the weekend 1-1 as DuHawk junior Javi Simon scored in the first minute of action. Sophomore Mark Broderick scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 68th minute. Wheaton notched a goal in the final minute, but it was too little too late, as Loras won their sixth straight match with Wheaton, 2-1.
