Plattsburgh's Chris Taylor Tabbed SUNYAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

FREDONIA, N.Y.--The State University of New York Athletic Conference on Monday has named Plattsburgh State's Chris Taylor as the player of the week for men's soccer. This marks the second time this season (Oct. 11) and third of Taylor's career that he has earned the conference's weekly award.

A senior midfielder from Liverpool, England (Cardinal Heenan Prep), Taylor had three points during Plattsburgh's 1-0-1 week. He scored the game's only goal on a free kick in a 1-0 win Wednesday over Clarkson, and assisted Stjepan Bandov's goal on another set piece in a 1-1 draw with Geneseo on Saturday. He also scored in the shootout against the Blue Knights in a 5-3 penalty-kick shootout win, helping send the team to the SUNYAC Semifinals.

Currently, Taylor leads SUNYAC with 11 assists and is the Cardinals' leading scorer with 19 points.
