OFFENSIVE
Luis Tamez, MF, Fr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne freshman midfielder Luis Tamez (Mesquite, TX / West Mesquite HS) scored both of his team's goals in a 2-1 win over Schreiner and also added an assist in a victory over Texas Lutheran to help the Yellow Jackets secure a berth in the ASC tournament. Tamez's play also helped the Yellow Jackets to a 3-0 week with a non-conference victory against the University of Dallas.
CO-DEFENSIVE
Ben Cross, D, Jr., Mississippi College
Mississippi College junior defender Ben Cross (Santa Rosa, CA / Van Buren HS) spearheaded a unit that posted shutouts against conference opponents Concordia Texas and nationally-ranked Texas-Tyler. Cross, who takes the league's top weekly defensive award for the second time this season, registered a key block in the 3-0 win over UT Tyler. He helped the Choctaws post four straight shutouts to close out the regular season.
Chris O'Brien, D, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior defender Chris O'Brien (Austin, TX / Westwood HS) provided the game's only goal and spearheaded a shutout of LeTourneau in the regular season finale that sent the defending ASC champion Cowboys into the ASC tournament. O'Brien's game-winner came in the 66th minute. He also helped HSU record a 2-1 win over East Texas Baptist a day earlier.

OFFENSE: Mary Hardin-Baylor D Chris Torres scored the game-winner in an ASC tournament-clinching win over TLU. . . . Mississippi College F Barry Prather scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over CTX. . . . LeTourneau F Dillon Holt scored his ASC-leading 14th goal of the season in a 2-0 win over LC. . . . Concordia Texas F Oscar Diaz had a goal and an assist in a victory against LC. . . . Texas-Dallas F Ryan Courson scored a goal in a 2-0 win over Ozarks.
DEFENSIVE: Louisiana College GK Filip Linder made 42 saves over two losses. . . . Howard Payne D TJ Mayfield anchored a unit that posted shutouts against TLU and the University of Dallas. . . . Mary Hardin-Baylor GK Mark Miller recorded a shutout in a 0-0 tie with Schreiner and posted six saves in a win over TLU. . . . LeTourneau GK Kyle Davis surrendered just one goal over two conference games. . . . Concordia Texas F Lyle Dixon held MC to one goal in a loss and scored in a win over LC. . . . Texas-Dallas D Julian Torress paced a shutout of Ozarks and added a score.
