2010 All-Northern Athletics Conference men's soccer awards

MADISON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Conference handed out their all-conference men's soccer awards and six Eagles were honored, including three from Oconomowoc High School. Both Zach Miller and Greg Dezell earned first team honors while fellow Raccoon Matt Pampuch was named honorable mention. Joining Pampuch with honorable mention recognition was A.J. Fameree. Andrew Aurit earned all-freshman team honors while Kyle Glynn was named to the all-sportsmanship team.

Miller, an Ixonia native that went to Oconomowoc High school, earned first team all-NAC after being selected honorable mention in 2009. The senior defender started all but one game the last two seasons for the Eagles. This season, Miller scored the first goal of his career, a game-winning goal against Rockford College. He led a defense that only gave up 30 goals all season in 2010.

A native of Oconomowoc, Dezell also earned first team all-NAC honors after being named honorable mention in 2009. This season, he led the team with nine goals and 22 points, while tying for the team lead in assists with four. The senior recorded at least one point in 10 of Edgewood College's 18 games, including goals in two of the Eagles' last three contests. As a freshman in 2007, Dezell was named to the all-NAC rookie team.

The third and final player from Oconomowoc to be honored is Pampuch, who garnered honorable mention all-NAC honors. Pampuch has played in all but one game in his career at Edgewood College, including starts in all 18 contests in 2010. The junior midfielder dished out two assists this season. Pampuch was named to the all-NAC freshman team in 2008.

Joining Pampuch on the honorable mention team is fellow junior and De Pere native Fameree. He was the only other Eagle besides Pampuch to start all 18 games for Edgewood College in 2010. This is the first time Fameree has been honored by the NAC.

Aurit, a Monroe native earned all-NAC freshman team honors after playing in all 18 games, including six starts in his rookie season. He tallied his only goal in the Eagles' win over Concordia University Chicago and tied for the team lead in assists with four. A Prairie du Sac native, Glynn was named to the all-NAC sportsmanship team after starting 17 games in the defensive backfield for Edgewood College.

The Eagles finished the 2010 campaign with an overall record of 7-11, the first time Edgewood College has had a losing record since the 2002 season. In conference, the Eagles went 5-6, landing them seventh in the NAC and missed out on the conference tournament for the first time in program history.
