Red Devils Post Ninth Shutout With 3-0 Win at Haverford
(Haverford, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's soccer team posted its ninth shutout of the season, blanking Haverford, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Nicolas Tierno (Sicklerville, Pa./Timber Creek Regional) scored the game-winner in the 29th minute and added an assist to first-year Sung Woo Kim (Seoul, Korea/Fryeburg Academy) with just 2:11 remaining in the game.
Tierno made a long run down the right sideline and beat the goalkeeper to put the Devils in the board, 28:17 into the contest. First-year Derek Kachadurian (Weston, Mass./Weston) stretched the lead to 2-0, finishing a mishandled rebound for his seventh goal of the year in the 67th minute.
The Devils closed out the scoring on a long volley across the goal from Tierno that Kim tapped in for his second goal of the season.
