Peterson Tallies Game-Winner With Little Time To Spare

Fulton, Mo. – Senior Sean Peterson scored the game-winning goal with just three seconds remaining on the clock to lead the Westminster College men's soccer squad to a 2-1 come-from-behind home victory over Nebraska Wesleyan University Sunday.

The Blue Jays (2-0) fell behind in the first half and used a second half rally to secure their second win of the season. Sophomore Ronald Moore (Little Rock, Ark./Catholic) recorded the game-tying goal in the 60th minute. With time running down in regulation, Peterson (Chesterfield, Mo./Lafayette) corralled a goal kick from sophomore Jon Malter (Springfield, Mo./Parkview), dribbled down field, and scored his first goal of the season and the game winner over Wesleyan (0-2).
