Bulldog Men’s Soccer Suffers Difficult Double Overtime Loss to Chapman

More news about: Redlands men's team

The University of Redlands men's soccer team dropped its second consecutive overtime loss of the season, falling to non-conference foe Chapman University on Sunday night at Farquhar Field. After 90 scoreless minutes in which the Maroon and Gray held a 17-10 shot advantage, the teams pushed through nearly two extra periods before the Panthers found the back of the net to win the game.

Sophomore forward Nick Echeverry (Anaheim, CA) of Chapman hit the game-winner from the top right of the box with 23 seconds remaining in the second overtime period.

Redlands seemed to dominate the offensive side of the ball with 10 shots-on-goal, compared to Chapman's five.

The Bulldogs look to rebound on Wednesday when they open Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action against Pomona-Pitzer Colleges at Farquhar Field.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
