New London, Conn. – Senior co-captain goalkeeper Grant Schonberg (Mendham, N.J.) earned his second shutout in three games to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 win over the Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's soccer action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 3-1-2 overall and remains unbeaten in the NESCAC at 2-0-2, while the Camels drop to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the league. Trinity moves to third overall in the league with the win.

Junior Anthony El-Hachem (Vernon, Conn.) chipped in a penalty kick in the 12th minute of action, giving the Bantams all the offense they would need. Senior co-captain forward Dan Meyernick (Gladwyne, Pa.) added some cushion with his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the first half.

Trinity was forced to play the second half with a man down, in which Connecticut College outshot 5-3. The Camels outshot the Bantams 8-6 in the game.

Trinity's defensive unit gave strong support to Schonberg, who stopped three Camel shots for the shutout. Casey Marini (Hampden, Mass.) recorded two stops for the Camels.
