Blue Jays Bested By Nationally Ranked Washington U.
St. Louis, Mo. – The shots were too few for the Westminster College men's soccer squad in a 3-0 non-conference road loss to nationally ranked Washington University Wednesday.
The Blue Jays (3-3-2) were out shot 26-3 and were on the short end of a 14-1 deficit in corner kicks in falling to the Bears (7-0), who entered the match #4 in the latest NSCAA Division III poll.
Westminster, which has gone 0-2-2 in its last four matches, opens St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at Blackburn College Saturday in Carlinville, Illinois.
