Rough Start for CLU's Road Trip

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Allowing Occidental to score the only goal of Tuesday's game in the 20th minute, Cal Lutheran suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first of four consecutive road games taking place within a ten-day timespan.

Box Score: OXY 1, CLU 0 - F

Junior forward Raul Yepez finished with a game-high four shots, forcing Tigers goalkeeper Andrew Larkin to make a save on three occasions.

In addition to Yepez, sophomore defender Timo Ros recorded two shots with freshman midfielder Julian Hernandez, senior defender Josh Hibbert, sophomore midfielder Ivan Sanchez, and freshman midfielder David Lee each finishing with one shot apiece.

All shots taken by Hibbert, Ros, and Sanchez were on goal.

The next game for the Kingsmen (1-10, 1-6, SCIAC) will take place this Saturday, Oct. 8 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (6-3-1, 3-2-1 SCIAC). Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
