CLAREMONT, Calif. - Two goals scored midway through the second half by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps created too large a deficit for Cal Lutheran to overcome as the Kingsmen were defeated Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-1.

Box Score: CMS 7, CLU 1 - F

Responsible for all three of Cal Lutheran's shots,  junior forward Raul Yepez scored his team-high fourth goal of the season just three minutes before halftime to help his team reduce the Stags' lead to a 3-1 margin at the end of the first half.

Earning his first-ever point and assist on the play was sophomore defender Josh Kent.

Back-to-back goals scored within four minutes from one another by Jered Berstein put the game out of reach for the Kingsmen, as the Stags forward singlehandedly doubled CMS' lead midway through the second half to help his team earn the win.

Cal Lutheran (1-11, 1-7 SCIAC) will compete in its third consecutive road game on Wednesday, Oct. 12 against Redlands (11-3, 8-0 SCIAC), kick-off at Farquhar Field is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
