Stecyk’s Goal Lifts Men’s Soccer over Merchant Marine Academy
KING'S POINT, N.Y. (October 12, 2011) – Sophomore Curtis Stecyk snapped a 1-1 tie with 10 minutes remaining go give the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team a win over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday night. The sophomore sent a rocket from 30 yards out to score the unassisted goal.
Stevens will play host to Empire 8 rival Ithaca College on Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m. The game will be part of the larger Homecoming and Presidential Inauguration ceremonies taking place in Hoboken this weekend.
