Scranton Falls On Road Against Drew, 3-0

MADISON, N.J. -- Drew University scored twice in a six-minute span of the second half to take control en route to a 3-0 victory over The University of Scranton in men's soccer action Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, the Rangers (12-2, 3-1 Landmark Conference) scored off a pair of corner kicks to take control midway through the second half. The Rangers added the insurance goal in the 83rd minute to secure the victory.

Junior midfielder Bill McGuinness (Forty Fort, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) led Scranton (4-7-3, 1-2-1 Landmark) with four shots while sophomore midfielder Paul Trisuzzi (Morris Plains, N.J./Parsippany) had three shots.

Drew now leads the all-time series between the schools, 24-18-6, including wins in three of the last four matchups.

The Royals return to action Tuesday when they host Moravian at Fitzpatrick Field at 7 p.m. in a Landmark Conference match.
