Westminster (Mo.) Wins SLIAC, Top Tournament Seed
Fenton, Mo. – Westminster College slipped by Webster University 1-0 Tuesday in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer match at the AB Soccer Park, and with the win the Blue Jays win at least a share of the conference title and the top seed in next week's conference tournament. It is the second league title for the Westminster men in program history.
Westminster (10-3-4, 6-0-1 SLIAC), which has one conference match remaining this Saturday at Eureka College, got the game-winning goal by sophomore Zach Moore (Nixa, Mo./Ozark) in the first half and held on for victory, despite being outshot 15-11 by host Webster (6-8-2, 3-3-1 SLIAC).
