Westminster (Mo.) Men Go Undefeated In League Play
Eureka, Ill. - The Westminster College men's soccer squad concluded the 2011 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season undefeated with Saturday's 4-1 victory over Eureka College. The Blue Jays (11-3-4, 7-0-1 SLIAC) enter conference tournament play as the top seed and will host Webster University at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday on Westminster Field in Fulton.
Westminster jumped in front of Eureka (4-12, 1-7 SLIAC) 3-0 in the first half and led 4-0 before the hosts tallied a late goal to avoid the shut out. Sophomore Zach Moore, junior Adam Ross, sophomore Andrew Presnell and freshman Rayder Bennett scored goals for the Blue Jays, who won the program's second conference title this season.
