Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - After a lengthy lightning delay the King's College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie with visiting Dickinson Sunday afternoon at Leffler Field.

King's Mark Labbadia made nine saves including three huge stops in overtime to preserve the Monarch's second shutout of the year.

King's best chance to score came late in the second half when Tim Meyer dribbled his way around the goalkeeper and had his shot cleared by a Dickinson defender right in front of the net.

The Red Devils fired off a pair of shots in the final minute of the first half. They struck iron twice in the final minutes of the second overtime as first-year George Naranjo (Miramar, Fla./American Heritage-Delray) hit the post and sophomore Javier Mena (San Salvador, El Salvador) hit the crossbar.

King's totaled eight shots for the game while Dickinson picked up 24 on the day. Junior goaltender Cody Hickok (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) made three saves to earn the shutout.

The Red Devils are off to a 0-0-2 start. They travel to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday for a 5:00 start.
