2011 All-Wisconsin Men's Soccer Teams

MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College men's soccer team placed two individuals on the annual All-Wisconsin State Men's Soccer Team, as selected by the Wisconsin members of the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America. Senior defender A.J. Fameree was a second team selection while freshman Jake Owen was named honorable mention as a forward.

Fameree, a native of De Pere, started in all 75 games of his career for Edgewood College. This season he was named second team All-Northern Athletics Conference and led a defense that recorded six shutouts. He assisted on a goal against Dominican University on September 17 for his only point of the season.

Owen, a freshman from Madison who attended Edgewood High School, emerged as a key player in the Eagles' midfield. Like Fameree, he was also a second team All-Northern Athletics Conference selection. A key playmaker, he scored the first goal of the game and added an assist on the game-winner against Wisconsin Lutheran College on September 21.

Edgewood College finished the 2011 season with an 8-7-3 record. The Eagles reached the first round of the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament, but lost to Aurora University to end their season.
