More news about: New Jersey City men's team

SCRANTON, PA (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Marywood University scored what proved to be the game-winning goal just 16 seconds after New Jersey City University had tied the game in the 71st minute as the Pacers snapped the Gothic Knights two-game winning streak, 3-2, in a non-conference game on September 22.

NJCU (6-3) suffers its first road loss of the season and has a two-game winning streak snapped while Marywood (3-4-1) ends a three-game losing streak. It was the first meeting between the schools in men's soccer. The Pacers held a 19-14 advantage in shots while NJCU had a 2-to-1 edge in corner kicks (6-3).

The game was delayed for nearly 30 minutes in the 69th minute due to severe weather, with the hosts leading, 2-1.
