Overtime Goal Gives Trinity Men's Soccer Win At Colby
Waterville, Maine - Junior forward Christian Carrasquillo (Manchester, Conn.) scored in the 102nd minute as the visiting Trinity College Bantam men's soccer team pulled out a 1-0 overtime win over the Colby College Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play this afternoon.
Trinity moves to 4-1-3 overall and 3-1-2 in the NESCAC, while the Mules fall to 2-3-2 overall and 0-2-2 in the league. Colby has not allowed a goal in regulation time during its four NESCAC games, but has lost two 1-0 games in overtime and have two 0-0 ties. Sophomore goalie Jason Katz (Middleton, Mass.) had four saves to earn the shutout. Colby goalkeeper Cody Funkhouser (Hopewell, N.J.) stopped seven shots.
