Baruch Continues Winning Ways, Shutout Medgar Evers (5-0)
The Baruch College defeated Medgar Evers College, 5-0 in a CUNYAC home match played on Saturday morning at the Met Oval in Maspeth, New York.
Edward Humphreysnotched a hat-trick in the first half and Povilas Bellaand Arlind Stafajscored a goal each in the second half to help improve the team's record to 5-4-3 overall and 5-0-2 (14 pts) in the CUNYAC.
The Bearcats outshot the visiting Cougars (1-8 overall, 0-4 CUNYAC), 24-10, which included a 16-3 advantage in the second half.
Christopher Peraltaassisted on two goals, while Kyle Keagueand Victor Tlepshevadded an assist as the Bearcats have now posted five wins and two shutouts in their last seven matches.
The men's soccer team will continue their busy schedule on Columbus Day, Monday, October 8, with a 12:00 pm non-conference home contest against SUNY-Maritime at the Met Oval.
