ANOTHER TOUGH WEEKEND FOR BOXERS
Another tough weekend for the Boxers as they collected two losses. On Saturday, the Boxers played No. 9 ranked Whitworth. The Boxers scored late in the second half, but was not enough as the Pirates claimed a 3-1 victory over the Boxers. On Sunday, the Boxers could not find the back of the net. The Boxers fell 2-0 to Whitman. The Boxers have three matches left of the 2012 season. This weekend, the Boxers take on Pacific Lutheran on Saturday and Puget Sound on Sunday. The Boxers lost to both teams at their last meetings.

BOXER BYTES
Babeck Ebadpour scored the lone goal over the weekend for the Boxers. The goal marks Ebadpour's first goal of the season.

Michael Summers ranks in the top-10 of the Northwest Conference in two different statistical categories including saves and saving percentage.

Nick Rudella ranks in the top-10 with his five goals scored this season. Rudella also leads the Boxers in goals and shots.

Jorge Mandujano and Alex Arrington rank in the top-10 in assists.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
PACIFIC LUTHERAN
Pacific Lutheran is second in the Northwest Conference with a 7-3-1 record, 8-6-2 overall. John Yorke is in his 11th season as head coach of the Lutes. Over the weekend, the Lutes collected a win and a loss. On Saturday, the Lutes claimed a 3-1 victory over Willamette. On Sunday, the Lutes took a 3-1 loss to Linfield. Pacific Lutheran beat Pacific on Sept. 16 2-0. Freshman Emmanuel Amarh and Junior Derek Johnson lead the Lutes with seven goals apiece. Junior Joe Rayburn has been solid between the pipes owning a 8-5-1 record with four shutouts, tallying 56 saves.

PUGET SOUND
Puget Sound is currently third in the Northwest Conference with a 5-4-2 record, 9-3-5 overall. Reece Olney is in his 19th season as head coach of the Loggers. Over the weekend, Puget Sound collected a win and a loss. On Saturday, the Loggers claimed a 2-0 victory over Linfield. On Sunday, the Loggers took a 2-1 loss to Willamette. Puget Sound beat Pacific back on Sept. 15 2-1. Junior Andrew White leads the Loggers with four goals. Senior Chris McDonald is holding down the pipes with 47 saves. McDonald owns a 9-3-5 record with 10 shutouts.

PACIFIC NEWS & NOTES
SCORING THE LONE GOAL: On Saturday, Babeck Ebadpour (So., Fairbanks, Alaska) scored the lone goal for the Boxers for the weekend. In the 87th minute, Garrick Knowles (So., Roseburg, Ore.) took the corner kick for the Boxers. Knowles found Ebadpour, who fired to the back of the net, past Whitworth goalkeeper Kyle Novak. The goal marks Ebadpour's first goal of the season. Ebadpour has played in just two games this season, shooting just two times on the season.

SUMMERS KEEPS SAVING INTO THE NWC RANKS: Michael Summers (Jr., Beaverton, Ore.) keeps saving his way into the top-10 of the Northwest Conference in two statistical categories. Summers is currently second in the Northwest Conference with 69 saves. Summers is also eighth with a .670 saving percentage. Over the weekend, Summers collected four saves in 3-1 loss to Whitworth. On Sunday, Summers collected two saves in 2-0 loss to Whitman. Summers currently owns a 4-12-0 record with two shutouts. Summers has started all 16 matches between the pipes for the Boxers.

RUDELLA LEADS BOXERS: Nick Rudella (Jr., Sammamish, Wash.) is currently tied sixth in the top-10 in the Northwest Conference with his five goals. Rudella also leads the Boxers with his five goals and also in shots with 34. Rudella has started all 16 matches for the Boxers. Rudella scored his first goal of the season on Sept. 7 in 6-0 victory over Walla Walla. Rudella's latest goal came on Oct. 12 in an exciting match against Linfield. Just four minutes before the end of regulation, Rudella controlled the ball in a crowded goal box, when he shot from five yards out into an open net to claim the victory for the Boxers. The goal helped the Boxers claim a 3-2 victory over Linfield under the lights at Lincoln Park Stadium.

ASSISTING THE OFFENSE: Jorge Mandujano (So., Corneilus, Ore.) and Alex Arrington (So., Portland, Ore.) are currently ranked in the top-10 in the Northwest Conference in the assists statistical category. Mandujano is tied for fifth with his four assists. Arrington is tied for eighth with his three. Mandujano leads the Boxers with his four assists and Arrington is second with three assists. Mandujano has seen action in all 16 matches and Arrington has started all 16 matches for the Boxers.

PACIFIC PICKED TO PLACE SIXTH: After posting a 5-12-1 record in 2011 the Boxers were picked sixth in a preseason poll of NWC coaches. The Boxers received 20 of a potential 64 points in the poll. Pacific Lutheran received five first place votes with Whitworth receiving two and Whitman receiving one. The Boxers were seven points in front of rival Linfield and seven behind Willamette.
