More news about: Medaille men's team

BUFFALO, NY - The Medaille College men's soccer team scored early and often on "Senior Night" as they were dominant in cruising past Pitt-Bradford for a (4-0) victory in their regular season finale at All High Stadium.

The Mavs got on the board in the first minute of play when Kevin Dhillon headed home a ball that was served up off a corner kick from Austin Tom for a (1-0) lead.  Just over three minutes later George Tor would take another Austin Tom offering and bury it for a (2-0) Medaille lead.

The Mavs would strike again in the 18th minute when Pablo Ordonez finished on a ball played from John L. Smith and Austin Tom to seize total control of the game.  They would put the game away in the 38th minute when Tor netted his second goal of the game (and 16th of the season) on another nice ball from Austin Tom for a (4-0) advantage.  Tom would finish the night with four assists in the win.

The Mavs controlled play in the second half as well with (23) players earning valuable playing time.  When it was all said and done the Mavs would outshoot the Panthers (34-6) overall and (12-3) on goal.  Senior keeper Nick Kurtz stopped all three shots that were on frame including a leaping stab that pushed a sure goal just over the crossbar in the first half.

The Mavs earned their fifth straight win and their 11th shutout of the season as they improved to (15-2-0) overall and finish AMCC play at (8-1-0).  The Mavs earned a bye in the first round of the conference playoffs and will host the winner of the #3 La Roche vs. #6 Pitt-Greensburg match in the semifinals next Wednesday (10/31).
