- NYU began its comeback in the 64th minute, tying things up on a goal from Nimo Freitag Bergstroem. After the Roadrunners failed to clear a free kick into the box, KC Eboh headed a pass back to Freitag Bergstroem, who buried it to the left post.

- Chris Ramirez netted the go-ahead goal in the 74th minute on a corner. Anthony Baini played the corner kick to Kyle Green, who headed it to Ramirez at the left post. Ramirez then headed it in under the crossbar.

- The Violets added their third goal with just 3.2 seconds left. Green made a long run at goal, which goalkeeper Steve Monaghan charged and broke up. However, the loose ball came to Paolo Luciano, who put it in to the empty net before time expired.

"I thought we played very well," said Head Coach Joe Behan. "That was a great goal by Chris Ramirez and a great layoff by Kyle Green. Also, the freshmen did well tonight."
