More news about: Gallaudet men's team

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team could not match the visiting Mustangs' offensive firepower as the Bison fell to Morrisville State College, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon at Hotchkiss Field. Sophomore forward Sanley Pierre-Louis netted a hat trick for the Mustangs in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest. Morrisville St. (10-4-1, 5-1-1 NEAC) has not lost to the Bison since GU joined the conference two years ago.

The Bison's first and only goal came in the 64th minute down five goals. Sophomore midfielder Gabriel Carino (Bronx, N.Y.) launched a corner kick from the right side as sophomore forward Karlis Intsons (Riga, Latvia) made a break for the net. The ball landed between several Mustang defenders and Intsons made a sliding kick that sailed past diving goalkeeper Rob Larkin (three saves). The goal is Intson's fourth of the season.

The blemish was Larkins' only of the day as the Bison were able to muster only four shots on net. Bison goalkeeper Eric Setzer (Middletown, Md.), on the other hand, was under attack all afternoon as he faced 15 shots and was able to turn away 10 of them.
