Bison tripped up by Washington Adventist

More news about: Gallaudet men's team

SILVER SPRING, Md. – Washington Adventist University used an impressive defensive performance and hat tricks by senior forward Allen Adeleke and junior midfielder Jinmi Ismail to beat the Gallaudet University men's soccer team 7-0 Wednesday at MLK Recreation Park. Ismail recorded all three of his goals in the second half and Adeleke added two tallies in the half to cap off his three-goal game as the Shock shutout the Bison.

Ismail completed his hat trick on an unassisted goal in the 83rd minute. The score came a mere two minutes after the Houston, Texas, native recorded his second tally on a pass from freshman defender Phillip Malcolm. All three of Ismail's tallies came within a 14-minute window late in the second half; his first goal found the back of the net in the game's 69th minute. Adeleke completed his version of the hat trick with two second-half goals. The first came in the 62nd minute on an assist by sophomore forward Kyle Christiansen and the second was an unassisted goal that Adeleke buried 16 minutes later.

Christiansen was the only other Shock player to record a tally in the game as he deposited a second half shot into the back of the net in the 76th minute. Adeleke got the scoring started in the first half on an assist from freshman forward Dexter Kelly less than five minutes before halftime.
