TOM KRYCHKOWSKI WINS 2012 ROBERT L. MCNULTY MEMORIAL SOCCER AWARD
JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Former New Jersey City University men's soccer midfielder Thomas Krychkowski (North Arlington, NJ/North Arlington), a four-year letter-winner for the Gothic Knights from 2008-11, has been selected as the 2011-12 recipient of the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Award winner.
Krychkowski is the 16th winner of the award which was first presented in 1996 and is the first men's soccer player to garner the accolade since the 2008-09 season. His younger brother, TYLER KRYCHKOWSKI, was a freshman starting defender/midfielder on the 2012 men's squad.
The award, the top all-around honor given to a Gothic Knight soccer player, is presented annually to the player, male or female, who best exemplifies the attributes for which McNulty was known: dedication to the sport of soccer, competitive spirit on the playing field, knowledge of the fundamentals of soccer and demonstration of leadership in the advancement and expansion of soccer.
