JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Two players named Andrew combined for four goals and All-Region senior defensive midfielder MOHAMED CONTEH (Trenton, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro North) had direct influence on the first three scores of the game with a goal and two assists as New Jersey City University snapped a two-game skid of one-goal losses by blowing past Baruch College, 6-1, in a non-conference game on September 11 at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field.

NJCU evened its record at 3-3, outshooting Baruch (1-4), 33-8, on a hot and humid afternoon in which the mercury reached the low 90s. The Knights had a 17-2 edge in shots in the second period after a 16-6 edge at halftime when NJCU led, 3-0. The Knights also had an 8-1 advantage on corner kicks.
Freshman DAVAUNI BROWN (Newark, NJ/Newark Tech) netted his first career goal to cap the scoring. Junior center mid KELVIN FLORES (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown), junior midfielder MANNY MARTIS (Union, NJ/Union) and freshman midfielder JUSTIN APONTE(Harrison, NJ/Harrison) each contributed single assists. Junior goalkeeper RUBEN MORALES (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) did not make a save in a relatively quiet effort in net.
