GREENSBORO, NC- The Pride men's soccer team (2-2-2) used a four goal first half effort en route to a 5-0 shutout of St. Mary's (1-4) on Saturday afternoon.

Greensboro struck first at the 21:06 mark when Conner Cunningham headed in a corner kick off the foot of George Dimopoulos. The Pride extended the lead nine minutes later on another corner by Kyle Giscombe that found the head of Drew Clukey making it 2-0.

Scott Faytol continued the pressure on the Seahawks, with a through ball to Shaun Watt that was slid past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0. Greensboro found the net one last time in the first half, when Clukey slotted the ball to Giscombe taking a 4-0 lead into the half.

The Pride kept attacking, when Giampier Oblach headed in his own rebound off the post, for the final tally of the game to win 5-0.

Greensboro held a 19-9 shot advantage over St. Mary's. Clukey led the way with four shots, and Earl Floyd contributed three. Manbi Nyepon and Logan Rohde combined for the shutout in goal.

The Pride will jump into USA South action on Friday, September 20 against conference newcomer Covenant. The kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 on Pride Field.
