Sophomore Peter DiLorenzo (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) headed in three second-half goals to lead The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Daemen College (2-3) Tuesday afternoon on A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field in Brockport. The game was the first official home game for the Golden Eagles.

Brockport (5-0-1), ranked #13 in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire national poll, had two early chances to get on the board but DiLorenzo and junior Paul Altobelli (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) each shot wide of the goal in the opening minutes of action.

The score remained 0-0 until midway through the second half when Brockport's offense came to life. Sophomore Matthew Roorda (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) sent a long crossing pass into the box where the 6'4" DiLorenzo out jumped the defense and headed the ball into the corner of the goal for the first goal of the game in the 68th minute.

Just over two minutes later, sophomore Collin Goettel (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) lined up the eighth corner of the day for the Golden Eagles and lofted a perfect ball into the box where DiLorenzo connected on a diving header giving the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead.

With time winding down in the game, freshman David LaPietra (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) dribbled past a defender and sent a short crossing pass toward the goal finding DiLorenzo's head once again for the third goal of the game completing the hat trick.

Brockport held a 23-9 lead in shots including a 13-2 second-half advantage. The Golden Eagles also had eight corner kicks to Daemen's two.

Sophomore goalkeeper, Casey Sullivan (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) was credited with five saves as he recorded his fifth overall and fourth consecutive shutout. Sullivan ran his shutout streak to 427 minutes and 45 seconds.
