Baruch Defeats Brooklyn (4-3), Bearcats Undefeated in Last 14 CUNYAC Matches

Victor Tlepshevscored the winning goal with four minutes left in regulation to help record a high-scoring 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn, New York.

The Bearcats win their third straight match to improve to 4-5 overall and 3-0 in the CUNYAC. They also extend their undefeated CUNYAC streak to 14 with a win or draw in their last 14 conference contests (regular or postseason).


Oren Kozlowskistarted the scoring in the 15th minute on a breakaway that was assisted by Aaron Cueva.

Tlepshev increased the advantage to two goals in the 30th minute after beating his defender one-on-one on an assist from Kozlowski.

The Bulldogs battled back to cut the score to 2-1 in the 38th minute, but
Kevin Romeroscored in the 53rd minute on an assist by Tlepshev for a 3-1 advantage.

The Bulldogs tied the contests with a pair of goals by Dmitry Prokofyev (he finished with a hat-trick), but Tlepshev would later score his winning goal on another assist by Kozlowski with just under four minutes remaining to help wrap up the exciting victory at Brooklyn College.


Helder Correiaearns the victory in front of the net with a career-high eight saves.

Baruch will continue their CUNYAC schedule on Wednesday, October 2 with a 6:30 pm road contest against York College. Kick off at Aviator Field in Brooklyn is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
