READING, Pa. – Junior Jacob Chase (Cooperstown, N.Y.) scored twice to lead visiting Morrisville State College men's soccer to a 3-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over host Penn State Berks Sunday afternoon in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Chase put Morrisville State on the board early in the contest, collecting the chip over the defenders from Alan Peckham (Webster, N.Y.) before lofting the ball over Berks keeper Darrell Geisinger for the tally just 14:03 in.

In the 30th minute, Chase notched his second of the day, firing the ball into the near corner off a feed from Carmel Addae (Ghana) for the 2-0 Mustang lead.

Chernor Barrie (Bronx, N.Y.) put the game out of reach with the third Morrisville State tally in the 53rd minute, one-timing the deflection from Brian Culkin (West Islip, N.Y.) off the corner kick from Jesse Astudillo (Wheeling, Ill.).

Eric Berglund (Elmira, N.Y.) recorded the win, making two saves in the opening 63 minutes, before being replaced by Cody Gaines (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) for the final 27. Gaines also turned away two in his time in net.
