First-Half PK Beats Tigers at Cal Lu
THOUSAND OAKS — The Occidental College men's soccer team fell at Cal Lutheran 1-0 on Wednesday.
Cal Lu's Alex Wardle scored his fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick in the first half.
The Tigers had nine shots, three of them on goal, and six corners, but couldn't find the net. Christian Buchmann, Grayson Burdon and Thayer Fisher had the Tigers' best opportunities.
Oxy falls to 2-11 overall and 1-9 in SCIAC play. Cal Lu goes to 8-2-2 and 6-1-2.
Oxy has the weekend off and then returns to action at Whittier on Monday at 7 p.m.
