Baruch Slips Past York (3-1) Behind Oren Kozlowski Hat-Trick, Clinch CUNYAC 1st Place

Oren Kozlowskiscored a hat-trick and Guy Sharavtotaled nine saves to lead the Baruch College Bearcats to a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals of York College on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island Field #44.

With the result, the Bearcats (9-5, 8-0 CUNYAC, 24 pts) extend their winning streak to eight, along with an undefeated 19 in a row against conference opposition (regular and postseason) dating back to last season.

They also finish first in the conference standings for the second straight year and third time in the last four years.

Kozlowski scored his first goal in the 27th minute on an assist from
Kyle Keague, but York tied the match towards the end of the first half.

The two teams battled and were tied with 10 minutes left, but Kozlowski exploded for two late goals to get past the Cardinals, 3-1, on a chilly afternoon.
Edward Humphreysassisted on the third goal to help seal the victory.

The three goals by Kozlowski gives him 14 this season and 27 total in his first two years with the Bearcats.

The Bearcats will next play in the CUNYAC Championship Tournament on Wednesday, October 30, with a 4:30 pm home contest at the Met Oval against rival Hunter College.

The complete tournament schedule and pairings will be announced on Monday.
