Men's soccer falls in overtime
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Patrick Nelson scored the game-winner in overtime as Augustana (Ill.) handed the Simpson men's soccer team a 1-0 loss on Monday.
Nelson found the back of the net 1 minute 58 seconds into overtime and Tyler Cowherd made four saves in the shutout for the Vikings (5-4-1).
Zach McEntee made a season-high 10 saves for the Storm (8-2-2), who were shut out for the first time this season.
Simpson has a day to recover before hosting former Iowa Conference member Cornell on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
